Artisans from Okay Art in Basel, Switzerland have this very sexy Eames side chair which gets hand gilded (yep, adorned in gold leaf), varnished by a car painter (there's your industrial hit, if the metal framed legs don't do it for you), and polished up several times.
They've done a beautiful job on this classic chair, but a price tag of $1,900 AUD seems somewhat extravagant, yes?
