Girls Bedroom 'Island Paradise'

Whilst I have just returned from Europe 24-hours ago, and suffering a lovely dose of jet-lag (& the dreaded flu!) I find myself sitting and reflecting over what my blog has been and where I want it to go... Where that is, I'm not too sure yet but I am certainly enjoying creating virtual inspiration boards for myself to revisit later, and hopefully your enjoying them too!

Whilst in Barcelona, full-filling a lifelong dream of getting my hands all over Gaudi's beautiful design creations I stumbled upon a store, which many of you probably already knew existed, but for me, it was like falling onto cloud-9... Zara Home. Now back here in Sydney, Zara is by far my favorite street-wear fashion store. Zara fabrics are always high quality, the style and cuts are pin-point accurate, the designs are always classy and the prices, well... I find them extremely economical considering again, the quality!! But back to Zara Home... I should start counting down the days until they open a Zara Home store in Sydney, or anywhere in Australia for that matter! The decor items they have available are simply divine and all revert back to the current fashion styles and prints they have in-store.

Zara Home stocks everything from matte gold plated (to-die-for) cutlery, right through to a simple sandal for you to slip on as you head out to buy flowers for your perfectly groomed home! There is one key thing however, that I have fallen in love with at Zara Home and it is the simple fact that 'those sandals' I mention above are also a key element... Yes, your home should look beautiful, but it also needs to look lived in and... be practical ! So again, going back to those sandals... These types of simple elements which Zara Home provide will look picture-perfect sitting beside your lounge or dining table, as Zara Home has designed these elements to pair back to colours/patterns/designs used through-out their home decor range. So now, you can be in-vogue from head to home... perfection, right!? (I think so!)

Ok, so maybe it's the OCD coming out in me... But I personally find a home that looks lived in and styled to be the ideal (albiet, sometimes not overtly practical). And to go out on a limb here, something I don't normally do... Here is a little selection I have put together from Zara Home for a fun and 'not overly pink' little girls room that I call... 'Paradise' (granted, the double bed pictured below is fit more-so for a little 'princess') :)
