Whether you’re a traditionalist and prefer a stemmed wine glass or you like the informality of a stemless glass, you’ll appreciate this beautiful design by Martin Jakobsen. The rEvolution’s angular placement of the stem on the side of the glass isn’t just aesthetically eccentric, it’s also practical for both pouring and drinking. A great conversation starter that you can own here.
Some were intrigued when chic restaurants began serving drinks in stemless wineglasses, and I'm sure that a similar reaction will arise should the rEvolution Wine Glass find its way into bars and restaurants around the world. It isn't too dissimilar from universal stemware, in that it comprises of most parts of a typical glass chalice. Martin Jakobsen's vessel consists of a gorgeous spherical cup with a smooth circular opening, a slender stock and a flat base... The base just isn't 'attached' to the stem!
rEvolution Wine Glasses rims have been asymmetrically placed, the footing has been integrated into the side of the bowl and the stem sticks out of the tumbler parallel to the tabletop. Although the unique composition may seem arbitrary at first glance, the new configuration enables easy drinking, steady setting and painless pouring.
