Colour Coordinate

If you are like us and have clusters of home-wares around your house, you will also know that eventually you end up with a shall we say, 'versatile' collection. Sometimes, you need to regroup and organised the chaos... yet again, if you are like us, you will find it difficult to part with certain pieces you have fallen head over heals - over the top - in love with.

Our motto is; Never throw away anything you loved once.
(Please Note: This pertains to home-wares only, not the ex!)

A simple, and fun way to rejuvenate your collection, fashion and furniture is to colour coordinate, or create colour clusters. You may find (like us) that you tend to purchase more of one tone than another, for me, it's generally always teal. You will find, as we showcase below how beautiful similar tones can look grouped together.

To show you how to coordinate your look best, you will need a colour wheel to guide you. It's not essential, but you will find you will question a tone or two throughout the journey. Or you can use aone of these handy iPhone appsCliqCliq ColourBen Colour Capture and Colour SnapAs basic guidance, colours that are opposite each other on the colour wheel will contrast and look too heavy when paired together for this task. You will need to stay with colours that sit next to each other (see analogues in second colour wheel) to get that light, fresh feel.

To guide you on your colour coding journey, we have pulled together a selection of images... We have also included some of Seeds images of organic elements and how this all works in nature (way before any interior designers came along!)

The result is an harmonious home, without a pinch of chaos in site. Please email us and let us know how your inspiration challenge turns out!

Enjoy.
