Freedom Furniture have our favourite style in-store... Ikat. Ikat is the dyeing of patterns into the threads before the cloth is constructed. Once the threads are died, the weaving of the fabric takes place. Here lies the complex and beautiful difference between ikat and tie-dye.
The Freedom Furniture Ocean Ikat Print is something we haven't yet come across in Australia, instead of being on a cushion, rug or throw the exotic print has been infused with hardener and placed onto a timber backing.
The oceanic colours used in the print below channels the hues you would see on a rocky coastal escape. These azure tones paired with a pinch of red and a splash of mustard, then combined with the dark timber furniture brings our look back to earth, keeping it stylish and sophisticated.
