Friday Cocktail: Lala Land

Over the past few weeks since the birth of O&O we have been watching our website audience blossom like wildflowers. With arms wide open, we have welcomed visitors from all parts of world, with the USA and Australia being our top viewing friends. This past week, the USA has overtaken Australia in leaps and bounds with Olive et Oriel being most viewed by our fans in the United (and glamorous) States of America!

In celebration of this - our Friday Cocktail is dedicated to our ever growing followers in the US! It was difficult to narrow down which cocktail and which state to splash out with, so we've decided to go straight to Hollywood, California.

We've gone for a cocktail created by the über cool establishment, Ink - located on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood. Now, don't let the fact that this sassy little number is 'nameless' deter you, after all... it's what's inside that counts.

Enjoy.
- O&O

What you will need:

1.5 oz of a nigori (unfiltered) sake
1 oz light rum
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
3/4 oz orgeat or almond syrup
2 drops absinthe (now you know it's going to get cray)
1 inch fresh lemongrass

Let's get started...

Muddle lemongrass (cut into smaller pieces first) in a shaking tin, then add the above ingredients. Shake, strain into an ice filled Collins glass and top with club soda (1-2 oz). Garnish with an edible seasonal flower, Ink suggests to use borage blossoms, but have used jasmine in the past.

Sit back and enjoy... Our selection of super stylish bar spaces. x
