Architecture via Picasso

The Bather. This is the Picasso painting which inspired architects from Durbach Block Jaggers to create an unconventional clifftop home not far from Sydney. When we mention clifftop, you will soon see we are talking about a pure 70 metre drop to the Tasman Sea below.

Completed in 2004, the Holman House contains an intricate series of fluid styled living spaces set within an array of arcs, folds and stretching scenes to utilize the almost never-ending sun, sea and landscape views.

The living and dining areas seem to plateau across the ocean, giving guests dramatic views up and down the eastern seaboard. Outdoors along the cliff edge runs a series of quirky terraced gardens and a vase-shaped rock pool that further emphasize the properties uniqueness.

The Holman House by Durbach Block Jaggers have won several highly prestigious awards for the home: 2004 Featured in Sydney Open Historic Houses Trust Tour, 2005 Wilkinson Award for Residential Architecture (NSW), 2005 National Award for Housing

Which cocktail will we match up with this classy yet uncharacteristically cool establishment? A cool and quirky Picasso Cocktail.

What you will need:
3 Parts Cognac
1 Part Lime Juice
1 Part Dubonnet
1 Splash Simple Syrup
1 Peel Orange

Let's get shaking!
Fill a shaker with ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with orange zet swirl. Close your eyes and imagine your sitting of the delicious Holman House kitchen.

Enjoy.
