Reflections

After a huge weekend filled with friendship, laughter, love (and possibly a few too many cocktails) we decided to reflect... This is the little gooey center, an insight into life and all those things we love.

Coming closer to the big three zero makes us sit back and ponder upon how far we have come, what we have accomplished and what is still in our sights... and all the things we don't even know exist just yet.

It's been ten years since the busy days of studying Interior Design & Decoration and working a nine-to-five job, after near exhaustion I gave up my design for a life of... work. All the while I have been madly decorating and redecorating my family home, then the bachelorette pad, friends homes, the bosses home and now - our home. Then came the realization I had to get all these ideas out and this blog was the end point of all my passion. As day-by-day it seeps out from my heart, down my veins, into my finger tips and onto this very computer that sits in front of me.

So why has it taken me so long to jump into it all again? Getting closer to those two delightful numbers (the three and the zero), has given me more confidence in who I am and what 'my' meaning of life is.

Interior design has been in my blood since the day I was born, as my mother would question throughout the years... "Why have you changed my loungeroom again?", "Are you really changing your bedroom again? You only did it last week!", then to "Seriously, can you leave my furniture in one place for more than 5 seconds??" - it was and is, a never-ending, undying passion of mine. It's now time to step up, and get my head immersed again - this - provides me with so much happiness.

I believe; Everyone should have something in life that gives you an enlightened feeling of happiness.

Today, is a pure dedication to our friends, to all of you. Thank you for your support and for coming back each day to see what's new in the world of Olive et Oriel. Thank you, for making our blog such a great success in it's first few months of life!

We love you!
Enjoy, the good things in life.
