Round Coffee Tables

Whilst on our own pursuit for the perfect coffee table for our penthouse home... We thought it necessary to share with you our finds.

We decided to avoid the standard rectangular block that funks its way into so many living rooms, a menacing sight to say the least. And these long blocks are a painful memory for us... the cause of so much chaos and pain with the abundance of kicked little toes they bestow upon their adopting family members. To avoid ourselves the agony and to bring a more elegant look into our home - we are opting for a rounded coffee table.

Here you will see the ones who stole our heart.

Enjoy.

Xilos by Antonio Citterio
Designed by Antonio in 2002 this coffee table (and its bigger sister, the dining table) and many more of Antonio Citterios designs have become iconic pieces in the interior design industry. The simple lines of the Xilos make you wonder how no-one else had come up with such an elegant design before him. POA from B&B Italia stockists.

Harbor Coffee Table
An abaca fiber coffee table, which you could only imagine would be perfectly fitting for any nautical inspired home doubles its use with a deep plunge of luxury storage.
$199.95 (reduced from $1,298.00) from Anthropologie.

Solid, natural walnut forms the base of this classic replica table. The clean, interlocking timber lines sit so fluidly under the clear tempered glass top, which will forever impart understated elegance into your living area. $475 from Matt Blatt. Also available in American Ash and Ash Black.

Simplicity is so often the best choice and when designers compile elements like white marble and dark timber, the result is consistently a classic one. POA from Space Furniture.

Eileen Series
Adding a little more edge to our collection the Eileen Series tables, which come in a range of bright colours and finishes. Although we simply love the contrasting white tabletop against the polished stainless steel legs. The base, fitted with a flat cross design is something we haven't yet come across in our coffee table search, and it definitely struck a chord with us. POA from B&B Italia Stockists.

Now it was so tough to bypass the Eileen Series and her edgey clean lines, but we instead opted for our favourite - Loto by Antonio Citterio. Below, is our chosen coffee table...

'Loto' - by Antonio Citterio
This waywardly bulging set of coffee tables by fervent designer Antonio Citterio is one of endless style. Allowing light to move under the table top and through the curves of it's beautiful legs which then arch back onto its supportive round base. Available in a range of timbers from Brushed Light Oak, Black Oak, Grey Oak or Rosewood Santos veneer finish for us, this is the ideal coffee table. POA from Space Furniture or you can pick yourself up a replica from Matt Blatt $495

Which one would be your choice? We would love to know...
